Call for papers for the 5th Bank of Italy, Bocconi University, EIEF and CEPR Conference
The Bank of Italy, Baffi Centre (Bocconi University), Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF) and the Centre for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), invite submissions for the 5th biennial conference on “Financial stability and regulation”.
The call for papers
The conference will feature about 12 paper presentations with discussants and will start in the morning of Monday, March 23rd and will finish in the early afternoon of Tuesday, March 24th. Local and Scientific Committee includes Elena Carletti and Filippo De Marco from Baffi Centre of Bocconi University. Papers of the highest academic quality cover topics that include, but are not limited to, the following ones:
- the relation between monetary policy, microprudential and macroprudential policies, and financial stability;
- the main risks in the current context and looking ahead (finance digitalization, artificial intelligence, funding instability, climate change);
- the effectiveness and simplification of financial regulation.
Papers should be submitted by November 30th, 2025 at 12:00pm CET (Paris/ Rome/ Geneva Time Zone). Authors will be notified by January 2026. How to apply
The conference
The aim of the conference is to bring together leading world scholars and policy-makers to discuss topics related to financial stability, regulation of the financial sector and use of macroprudential policies.
The event is organised jointly by the Bank of Italy, Baffi Centre on Economics, Finance and Regulation (Bocconi University), Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF) and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Economy class travel (subject to CEPR Travel guidelines found here) and accommodation expenses will be covered for invited academic speakers and discussants.
