BAFIR - Banking, Finance and Regulation

Banking, Finance and Regulation – BAFIR focuses on themes related to financial intermediation, financial stability, financial regulation, climate finance, corporate finance, and, more generally, the functioning of the whole financial system. The unit conducts both theoretical and empirical research and the results are regularly published in the most prestigious international academic papers. 

BAFIR is also active in the policy arena with policy papers on issues related, among others, to the European banking system and the Saving and Investment Union.

The unit fellows participate regularly in the most prestigious academic conferences and policy roundtables around the world. 

The research of BAFIR engage various researchers from both academic and policy institutions.
