WHAT WE DO
Unit director: Elena Carletti
The unit will center on themes related to financial intermediation, financial stability and regulation, and sovereign debt. In particular, it will develop theoretical and empirical research projects on liquidity and capital regulation, market discipline, pricing of contract terms in sovereign debt market, and some more policy oriented papers on various topics such as the effect of low interest rates on financial stability, misconduct and the role of competition authorities in the banking industry in the aftermath of the financial crisis.
The research will involve various researchers from both academic and policy institutions.
