Call for Papers "Health and Long-Term Care Insurance Conference 2027"

IVASS, Baffi Centre (Bocconi University) and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice are pleased to announce the Health and Long-Term Care Insurance Conference 2027. 

The conference will bring together theoretical, empirical and policy-oriented research on the demand- and supply-side factors shaping the development and uptake of Long-Term Care (LTC) and health insurance, as well as on the role of private insurance in complementing public welfare and healthcare systems.

We welcome submissions on topics including, but not limited to: 

- demand for health and long-term care insurance
- product design and market organisation 
- public-private interaction and policy

Priority will be given to studies focusing on the Italian health and long-term care insurance markets.  

The programme will include a plenary lecture by an internationally recognised scholar and six or seven research papers selected through this call. Each paper will be assigned a discussant. A concluding policy roundtable with representatives from academia, institutions and the insurance industry may also be organised.
