Filippo Annunziata

Research Unit Director. Filippo Annunziata earned a MSc in Economics from Bocconi University, in Musicology from Università degli Studi di Milano and also PhD in Commercial Law.
In 1998-2007 he was Associate Professor of Law and Economics at University of Bologna.
He is Professor of Financial Markets and Banking Legislation at Bocconi University, where he was recognised as Full Professor in 2017.
He is also a member of the Faculty of the Ph.D in Legal Studies at Bocconi University and Professor of Musicology at Università degli Studi di Milano.
Starting from November 2023, he holds a teaching as visiting professor on International Financial Regulation at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He is responsible for the Module on EU Banking Law at the EBI LLM in EU Banking Legislation at the Frankfurt School of Management.
Previously he was Professor of Financial Markets and Banking Legislation at University of Bologna (1998-2007), where he taught also Competition Law and Banking Law. Previously he was a tenured researcher of Commercial Law at Bocconi University (1994-2008).
His main interests revolve around most areas of financial markets and banking regulation, with a particular focus on capital markets legislations (investment funds, investment services, public offerings, trading venues) and the Banking Union. He has also been extensively engaged with market abuse regulation, corporate governance, fintech, crypto assets, ESG, and broader topics of corporate law, as well as law and humanities.
