Tom Schwantje

Tom Schwantje is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Bocconi University, affiliated with IGIER and FINAFRICA. He was awarded a PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford in 2025, as well as a BA and MPhil in Economics. He consulted for the World Bank. Tom’s research focuses on the organisational economics and management of firms and banks in low‑income countries, with a particular emphasis on how managers operate in these settings.
