Francesco Grossetti
Francesco Grossetti is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Accounting of Bocconi University. His research lies at the interface between accounting and finance and statistics. He uses Natural Language Processing methods to understand the role and the effect of disclosure over a firm’s behavior and financial performance. He is also interested in the economic effects of new technologies such as the blockchain and other types of distributed ledger systems. He is an active developer of open-source tools (mainly in R). He teaches applied statistics for Social Sciences and blockchain at both graduate and undergraduate levels. He holds a MSc in Astrophysics and Space Physics from Universita’ Milano-Bicocca and a PhD in Applied and Computational Statistics from Politecnico di Milano.
