Research Unit Director. He holds a Bachelor in Economics (with major in International Economics) from Bocconi University a PhD in International Law and Economics from Bocconi University, a MA in Economics (UC Louvain) and PhD in Applied Economics from KU Leuven.

He is Associate Dean at SDA Bocconi. He was Program Director of World Bachelor in Business and SDA Professor of Macroeconomics and International Business Environment within the Executive MBA programs, for which he has been awarded the ‘Best MBA Teacher’ prize. Visiting scholar at Paris School of Economics (Panthèon-Sorbonne, Paris, France), London School of Economics (London, UK), European Central Bank, KU Leuven (Leuven, Belgium). He is also a consultant on international trade and investment issues to the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Division of Investment and Enterprise of UNCTAD (UN - Geneva) and the European Central Bank. Former member of the Group of Experts on Economic Policy and economic advisor with the Italian Office of the Prime Minister. He is also vicepresident of he Institute of International Studies (ISPI), Milan.
