Manoel Gehrke

Manoel Gehrke is a post-doctoral researcher at Bocconi University. He conducts research on political corruption, the role of money in politics, and government responsiveness in developing democracies, particularly in Latin America. His recent work examines how responses by political elites moderate the effectiveness of anti-corruption policies in Brazil and how parties react to tools to monitor electoral fraud in Colombia. He earned his PhD in Political Science from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2019.
