Francesco Decarolis

Francesco Decarolis is Full Professor of Economics at Bocconi University, where he teaches and conducts research in industrial organization, with a focus on public procurement, auctions, and health economics. Prior to joining Bocconi University, he was on the faculty at Boston University and the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and he held visiting positions at EIEF (Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance), Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Columbia University. He holds a BSc in Economics from Università Bocconi, a MA and a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.
His research has been published in leading journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, and Management Science. He is the recipient of two ERC grants and has served as an advisor to the European Commission and the Italian Goverment. He currently sits on the editorial boards of leading economic journal such as the Review of Economic Studies, and is a research fellow of CEPR (Center for European Policy Research).
